CBSE Oman Cluster Table Tennis tournament held at Indian School Muscat

Indian School Muscat emerged the overall champion winning the under14 and under19 age categories for boys and girls.

MUSCAT : Indian School Muscat organized CBSE Oman Cluster Table tennis Tournament in their Table tennis arena on 29th October 2022 in six age categories –Under 14 Boys & Girls Under17 Boys & Girls and Under 19 Boys & Girls. 135 students from 8 Indian Schools participated in the prestigious event. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Mr. Sirajudeen Nhelat , Director, Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman. Other dignitaries, Principal Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, Vice Principals, Assistant Vice Principals, participating teams, teachers, parents and sports enthusiasts were present for this Inaugural ceremony. Coordinator Sports, Craig Lucas Gonsalves welcomed the gathering.

The Chief Guest Mr. Sirajudeen Nhelat addressed the audience and declared the meet open. In his speech he encouraged the participants to pursue success with determination and stressed on the importance of participation more than winning. Captain of Indian School Muscat girls’ Team Manvi Sarvanan administered the Oath. The Chief Guest and the Principal of Indian School Muscat played a few rallies in the presence of the audience to initiate the tournament.

The daylong event concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony. Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Said Ba Makhalef, Oman Table Tennis Committee Chairman, was the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor was Mr. Sunil. S, Chair, Infrastructure Subcommittee, Indian School Muscat. The Chief Guest appreciated and congratulated the students for their stupendous performance. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour felicitated the winners in different categories. Tejaswini Menon, Assistant Coordinator, Sports proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Indian School Muscat emerged the overall champion winning the under14 and under19 age categories for boys and girls. Indian School Ghubra & Indian School Al Maabela won the under17 boys and girls respectively

Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, India School Muscat congratulated all the winners and the runners up have been qualified to represent Oman Cluster at the CBSE Nationals to be held in India later this year.
