Oman not to impose income tax on high-earners in 2022: Minister

MUSCAT: The proposed income tax on high-earners will not be implemented in 2022, Oman’s Minister of Finance confirmed on Sunday.

Speaking on the sidelines of revealing the details of the 2022 State Budget, His Excellency Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi said the government has no plans to introduce the income tax next year.

Meanwhile, the Sultanate’s total public revenues for the fiscal year 2022 is estimated at OMR 10.58 billion, an increase of 6% over what is expected to be collected by the end of 2021.
