MUSCAT: World and regional leaders arrived in Oman to meet His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and offer condolences for the death of Sultan Qaboos who was revered across the globe.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Prince Charles, His Highness Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, Qatar Emir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Bahrain King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa, King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi of Yemen, King Willem-Alexander of Netherlands, President Mahmud Abbas of Palestine, President Kais Saied of Tunisia, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, Crowne Prince of UAE were some of the top leaders who arrived in Oman on Sunday.
President Donald Trump called Qaboos a true partner to the United States, working with nine different American presidents.“His unprecedented efforts to engage in dialogue and achieve peace in the region showed us the importance of listening to all viewpoints,” Trump said in a statement.
