Muscat: Students of Indian School Al Ghubra celebrated Teachers Day with great enthusiasm on the 5th of September. The day began with the students of class 12 dedicating the Morning Assembly to their teachers in recognition of their selfless service in molding them into fine individuals.

The assembly began with a group song by the students of class 12 in which they traced their journey through school life under the effective guidance of their teachers and the influence it would continue to exert beyond school.

Through the presentation titled ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ the students expressed their gratitude to their teachers referring to them as ‘Angels in Disguise’ who have dedicated their lives to the betterment of students. The Quirky Quiz based on teachers was a source of great amusement to all present.

The students also took the opportunity to honour Mr. K. S. Abraham, the Supervisor of the Senior Secondary Section, who is one of the longest serving members of the teaching fraternity, on his birthday. The Principal, Mrs. Papri Ghosh and the Vice Principal, Mr. G. Sreekumar led the birthday celebrations.
A flash mob by the students was truly entertaining as they danced to a medley of foot-tapping numbers.

The Principal then announced the Football Fundraiser between staff and students to be held on Sunday, the 8th of September. The students cheered with delight as the names of the members of the participating teams were called out.
The cultural show presented by the students for the teachers had a variety of events such as game shows, group dances, band, short musical skit which enthralled both the teachers and the students alike.

The multi-talented students of ISG left no stone unturned to make the teachers feel special and appreciated on this day which is celebrated in India as Teachers Day.

On behalf of all the teachers, the Principal Mrs. Papri Ghosh, thanked the students and appreciated the efforts put in by each one of them to make this day a memorable one.
