Muscat: The Oman Embassy in India has asked citizens living in Kerala to be cautious owing to the severe climatic conditions there.
The Embassy said in a statement, “The Embassy calls upon dear Omani citizens in Kerala, India, to take caution due to the difficult weather conditions in the province and to abide by the local government warnings and security measures for public safety.”

Southern states in India, including Kerala have been hit by floods, with the Kochi airport being closed for flights since Thursday till Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the UAE has issued a travel advisory on Friday following heavy rains in the Indian state of Kerala.
In a series of tweets, the UAE Consulate in Kerala advised its citizens in the Indian state to exercise caution and to follow any safety instructions issued by local authorities. Earlier, officials reported that eight people, including a one-year-old child, were killed and over 3,000 evacuated to over 60 relief camps after rains battered several parts of Kerala. State Revenue Minister E. Chandrashekeran said Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Wayanad, Kasargode and Idukki districts were the worst affected areas.
