Muscat – The Municipality will start receiving applications for camping permits from today. Those wishing to benefit from the service can visit the relevant directorate in the governorates, with their personal residence card for individual requests, and commercial registry for commercial activities.
As per the controls and regulations issued earlier, camping, whether in a caravan or tents, is not permissible for a period of more than 48 hours, except with a permit from the competent service directorate, and after payment of a security deposit of OMR 100 OMR. The permit issued will be for seven nights, subject to extension.
The Muscat Municipality has issued a circular of dos and don’ts related to location, health, safety and security and technical requirements.
