MUSCAT: Oman’s high-speed broadband internet provider Awasr has offered its customers a complementary speed increase of 200Mbps to the current package.
The complementary offer comes at no additional fees to all of it subscribers starting from Tuesday, May 10 until the end of the month.
Awasr said, that it has put forth this offer in appreciation of its customers’ loyalty and understanding due to “the interruption of the internet service that occurred beyond our control.”

On Friday, May 6, Awasr said its internet services were disrupted due to an outage “beyond control.” The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) also alerted the subscribers about the outage.
“The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority would like to warn that Awasr’s services have been affected due to a technical failure on the evening of Friday, May 6, 2022, in some wilayats of the Governorate of Muscat.”
