Omani, Sri Lankan businessmen hold bilateral meetings

The meetings were held to review investment opportunities and to strengthen the existing partnership between the two countries.

MUSCAT: A delegation of Omani businessmen interested in the trade and retail sector and a number of officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the General Authority for Special and Free Economic Zones, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), the Oman Investment Authority and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited the exhibition Sri Lankan Exports at the Dubai Exhibition Center on the sidelines of the economic activities organised by the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
 
Bilateral meetings were held with the Sri Lankan side to review investment opportunities, strengthen the existing partnership between the two countries in various fields, and pay attention to the opportunities available in the economic zones and industrial cities.
 
The visit comes within the framework of discussing aspects of the existing cooperation and opportunities for economic partnerships to serve the development goals of the two countries.

The Sri Lankan exhibition aims to introduce Sri Lanka’s diversified exports, promote its expansion in the region’s markets, and establish partnerships with potential buyers and cooperative relationships with regional companies.

Sri Lanka will participate in Expo 2020 Dubai with a pavilion located in the Opportunities Zone, and reviews the efforts and developments achieved by the country in various social, economic and technical sectors in addition to the cultural fields, and the pavilion also reviews the service sectors.
