MUSCAT : The British Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman said that British clean energy and mining companies met with an Omani delegation at the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, on Tuesday, to discuss future investment opportunities.
The embassy stated that this came with the support of the British Export Finance Department and the Department of International Trade, noting that Oman’s Vision 2059 highlights the need for sustainable development and economic diversification.
A ministerial delegation is on an official visit to the United Kingdom, which includes HE Abdulsalam Al-Murshidi, Chairman of the Omani Investment Authority, HE Qais Al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, HE Dr. Muhad Bawein, Minister of Labor, and HE Nasser bin Khamis Al-Jashmi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance.

This visit comes within the framework of the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the United Kingdom.
The Omani delegation met Lord Vincent Kevani, Mayor of London, and Lord Gerry Grimston, UK Minister of Investment, to discuss the financial and professional services sectors in Britain.
