MUSCAT: Anyone blocking an emergency vehicle with their car will have to think twice before doing it. Because as per the Traffic Law, there will be a fine of OMR 35 for not giving way to emergency vehicles including ambulances.
In a statement issued, the Royal Oman Police said: “Blocking an emergency vehicle on road is considered as a violation. A fine of OMR 35 will be imposed on anyone violating the law.”
“The decision is undoubtedly good because many a times patients in critical condition have to wait for the path of an ambulance to clear on the road, thereby losing valuable time,” said a social media user Hamdan Al Maqbali.
