MUSCAT : The number of the Commercial registries in their various legal forms, that recorded in the Commercial Registry Secretariat at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion MoCIIP, during the first quarter of this year of 2021 reached to (5620) registries, up by 30.18% , compared to (4317) registries recorded in the same period of last year of 2020 , according to ( MoCIIP).

The Statistics Data of  MoCIIP shows that , in accordance with the legal forms of  the commercial registries , the recorded registries   in the first quarter of this year witnessed an increase in  the number of commercial registry of  an Individual merchant companies , limited liability companies , One-person companies , registry  of  Home business companies  and street vendors. This increase in the number of these registries is due to several reasons, including the tendency of investors to utilize the  self-services facility  and to  take  the advantage of the  e-government services as well.

The  Statistics Department at MoCIIP clarifies that , the recorded commercial registries   include ,   (3006) registries of an  individual merchant companies ,recorded in  the first quarter of this year of 2021, compared to (2257) registries recorded in the same period of last year 2020 , while a number of (1099) registries of  limited liability companies (LLC) , compared to (919) in the first quarter of last year , (955) registries of One person  companies (OPC) recorded during the first quarter of 2021, compared to (666) registries in the same period of last year ,and recording of (359) registries of   Home business companies , compared to (249) registries recorded in the same period of last year 2020.

The statistics also  shows that , (80) registries of  Joint Venture companies  were recorded during the first quarter of 2021, compared to (90) registries recorded in the same period of last year , while (59) registries of Limited partnership companies, compared  to (96) registries recorded in the same period of last year , (57) registries of  street vendors, compared to (26) registries recorded during the first quarter of 2020,  recording of (4) registries  for  subsidiaries of an international companies , compared to (10) registries recorded in the same period of last year   , and recording of (one) registry of a closed   joint stock  company  (SAOC)in the first quarter of 2021  , compared to  (3)  registries in the same period of last year of 2020.
