MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police has issued a fresh alert to citizens and residents to protect themselves from scammers and to refrain from sharing their personal data including bank details.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, ROP urged the public to ignore social media calls or messages claiming to be from bank or communication company “deceiving that you have won a prize in cash in kind or offering a financial help.”
“Ignore all incoming social media calls and messages claiming to be a communication company, a bank or a famous person requesting your personal data, and PIN number,” ROP said.
