MUSCAT: United States of America appreciates the pivotal and important role played by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to resolve the crisis in Yemen, U.S. Special Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking said on Monday.

In a briefing to Oman News Agency (ONA) Lenderking said the “US appreciates His Majesty’s role in bringing the parties to the dialogue table in order to reach a peaceful solution that ends this crisis and ensures the stability of Yemen and the region.”

“The Sultanate is contributing in a positive way to resolving this crisis. Oman is keen to reach an end to it and is working seriously on this matter with all parties,” Lenderking noted.

Lenderking said US is working with the United Nations and regional countries such as the Sultanate and Saudi Arabia in order to reach tangible solutions to this crisis.
