MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee will meet on Thursday to take appropriate decisions regarding the night movement ban and future steps that will help in reducing the coronavirus cases in Oman, the country’s Minister of Health said on Tuesday.
The committee has imposed the night movement ban and closure of commercial activities until July 31, however, the Minister said the committee will take appropriate decision on Thursday. “There is an upcoming meeting on Thursday, and appropriate decisions will be taken about future steps regarding the ban,” Al Saidi said.
According to Al Saidi, lifting the ban after Eid Al Fitr led to a rise in cases. “So the committee decided to implement the partial closure and then implement full closure during Eid Al Adha,” he added.
