MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Authority on Saturday said it took legal action against a number of violators for raising prices in the Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits.
In a statement issued, CPA said the action was taken after the prices was raised without justification. “We inform you that the authority has taken legal measures against a number of violators who unjustifiably raised prices in the central market for vegetables and fruits,” CPA said.
Ahead of Eid Al Adha, CPA officials are closely prices of essential items in the market.
