MUSCAT: Majlis A’Shura will hold its 13th and 14th regular sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to 29-30 June 2021, for the second annual session (2020/2021) of the ninth term of the Council (2019-2023).
The 13th session will be a plenary session, while the 14th session will be devoted to discuss the statement of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
Sheikh Ahmed Mohammad al-Nadabi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, pointed out that the Council will host on Wednesday, Dr. Rahma Ibrahim al-Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, to deliver the ministry’s statement.

The statement will cover (6) themes about the policies of higher education, research and innovation, in addition to reviewing the ministry’s strategies in light of Oman Vision 2040.
Al Nadabi further indicated that the Council will hold the 13th regular session on Tuesday, 29 June 2021, as it will discuss a number of laws referred from the government that the Council has completed studying in preparation for referring them to the State Council.
The Secretary-General also noted that the session will be public and covered by the press and media. Citizens can attend the session by submitting a request through the Council’s website or direct communication with the Council’s General Secretariat, said al-Nadabi who affirmed that this step enhances community engagement.
