MUSCAT: A tropical depression has been developed in the south east of Arabian Sea on Friday, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said.
However, CAA said it will intensify further to deep depression within the next hours without any impact to Oman at least in the next three days.
“The National Multi Hazard Early warning centre analysis indicates that the tropical depression has been developed south east of Arabian Sea today ( friday 14th may 2021)new latitude 72.3 E and longitude 10.5 N with estimated surface wind speed around the centre (17-27 knots)(31-50 km/h),” the statement said.

“It is expected to head north-northwest adjoining to Indian Coasts and intensify farther to Deep depression within the next hours without impact to the Sultanate at least in the next three days,” CAA added.
