Omani artist Anwar Sonya is among this year’s featured guests, alongside Syrian artist Nour Bahjat, Emirati artist Fatma Lootah, Palestinian artist Lina Al Ayoubi, Filipino artist Laurel Castillo, known as “Yelcast”, and artist Mustafa Suleiman.
The programme explores the future of the creative industries, art’s role in cultural development and the relationship between creativity, identity and entrepreneurship.
This year’s artist talks, titled “Reimagining Space: Artists Reshaping Spaces, Ideas and Traditions”, examine how artists revive spaces, reinterpret cultural heritage and encourage dialogue across communities.
The exhibition’s theme extends the idea of art beyond galleries and paintings to architecture, heritage, memory and everyday surroundings.
