MUSCAT: Names and photos of seven expats and an Omani citizen have been published by the Public Prosecution on Thursday for violating the Supreme Committee decisions.
In a statement issued, Public Prosecution said most of them have violated home quarantine rules, performing Tarawih prayers and not wearing face masks.
“Primary courts in the governorates of Muscat, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, and North Al Sharqiya issue sentences ranging from imprisonment to a fine and deportation to a number of violators of the decisions of the Supreme Committee due to non-compliance with home quarantine, performing Tarawih prayers, not wearing a mask, and not adhering to the decision to close commercial activities,” the statement added.
