MUSCAT: Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has conducted more than 85,000 transactions through the ‘Invest Easy’ electronic portal in 2020.

The Ministry also said Invest Easy helps to save time and also limits hidden trade. “The number of transactions completed by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion that were submitted through the “Invest Easy” electronic portal in 2020  amounted to about 85,665.The ministry explained that the transactions consisted of 17,226 new transactions, 64,424 updated transactions, 4,015 canceled transactions,” the statement said.

“Directing investors to conduct their transactions by using the electronic self-services provided through the electronic portal “Invest Easy” contributes to the speed of completion of transactions, achieving clarity in procedures, and the possibility of updating all company data electronically. It also saves time and effort and limits hidden trade operations. In addition, the online portal contributes to making the Sultanate a suitable environment for conducting various commercial and investment businesses,” the statement added.
