MUSCAT : Expat families coming to Oman with their children aged below 18 are exempted from mandatory institutional quarantine, a top Ministry of Health (MOH) official informed The Arabian Stories (TAS).
“This exemption is only for families arriving with their children aged below 18. All other expats arriving in the country must undergo 7-day institutional quarantine in a hotel,” the official said.
“MOH has already send a notification to Civil Aviation Authority and the airlines have been informed about the latest travel update,” he added.

Meanwhile, TAS spoke to three families who arrived in Muscat on Friday morning and confirmed that they have been exempted from from institutional quarantine.
Early this week, the Supreme Committee exempted Omani citizens entering the country from institutional quarantine.
