AMMAN: Jordan’s King Abdullah addressed his nation for the first time since an alleged plot involving his half-brother Prince Hamzah.
The King broke his silence telling the palace crisis is over.
“I assure you, that the sedition has been nipped in the bud,” Abdullah said.

“The challenge of these last days was not the most dangerous for the stability of the country but it was the most painful for me”.
“My first responsibility is to serve Jordan and protect its people, its constitution and its laws, and nothing and no one takes precedence over Jordan’s security and stability, and it was necessary to take the necessary measures to fulfill this trust,” he said.
“I decided to deal with the issue of Prince Hamzah within the framework of the Hashemite family, and Prince Hamzah committed himself before the family to follow the path of parents and grandparents, to be loyal to their message, and to place the interest of Jordan, its constitution and its laws above any other considerations,” the King added.
