MUSCAT: Oman’s first hot-air balloon carnival will take place in the Dhofar Governorate this summer, the Ministry of Tourism has announced.
According to officials, the carnival will be held in the town of Sahnoot in Dhofar from July 20 to August 25.
In a statement, the ministry said, “This Balloon Carnival is the first event of its kind at the Gulf level, and it will be held in the next Khareef season in Sahnoot of the Dhofar Governorate from July 20 to August 25, 2019, organised by Omani companies and supported by a number of government agencies.”
