An Indian resident in Oman has been crowned the winner of La Femme, a beauty pageant featuring women from all over the world.

Piya Prakash Pawani was awarded first prize at the pageant, which was held in the Indian state of Goa, with representatives from South Africa and India coming in as runners-up.

An ecstatic Pawani was quick to share her experiences on social media, saying, “I embarked on this journey with a clear intention of representing all the Indians in Oman. I am honoured and privileged to have been a part of this prestigious platform La Femme Worldwide 2019, Goa.

“Thank you Radhika Wagh and Prashant Solapurkar for considering me and believing in me. Thank you mentors Manjiri Jamkhindikar, Pallavi Kaushik, Swati Jain, Roshni Kapoor, Sanjay Kannan, Nalini Dhir, Sonal Panchal and the entire team of AVYUKTA MEDIA for all your love and support. I couldn’t have done it with you all,” she added.

Pawani was quick to thank all those who had helped her on her journey.

“Thank you judges Manini Mishra, Anjali Mody and Raghav Sharma. Standing in front of you and hearing all the positive feedback only gives me more strength and motivation to move forward. Thank you for gracing us with your presence on our big day,” she said.

She added, “lastly, big shout out to Pushpa Negi, Hiba Jundi, Nitin Sujanani, Madiha Javed and Tanu Bheda for dealing with my drama and helping me at each stage. Grateful and thankful to my family and friends and all my previous mentors.
