MUSCAT : Oil prices rose in early trading on Friday as escalating attacks in the Middle East heightened concerns over supply shortages, according to a report by Reuters.

Brent crude futures gained 86 cents, or 0.75%, to $115.74 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 72 cents, or 0.71%, to $102.72.

Both benchmarks were on course for a fourth consecutive monthly gain, their longest winning streak since July, the report said.
