Muscat: Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, participated as a Gold Sponsor in the activities accompanying Urban October 2026. The Bank took part through the “Happy City Journey – Muscat”, held under the theme “Happy and Prosperous Cities” and organised by the Directorate-General of Housing and Urban Planning in Muscat Governorate.

The participation reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that contribute to urban and housing development and enhance quality of life. It also underlines the Bank’s focus on engaging directly with its customers and offering modern banking solutions that meet their needs at every stage of life. The event was held at two locations, the Royal Opera House Muscat on 14 October and Mall of Oman on 22 October, where the Bank set up a booth to showcase its products and services. The Bank Muscat team was on hand to answer visitors’ questions and introduce them to the benefits available.

The booth featured a range of banking solutions, including “Baituna”, Bank Muscat’s home loan for customers looking to build or buy a new home, or purchase a residential plot. Baituna offers flexible financing options to suit a range of customer needs, with repayment periods of up to 25 years, competitive profit rates and simplified procedures that make for a seamless banking experience.

In addition, the Bank introduced visitors to its digital services, including digital cards, easy loan solutions, and the “Themaar” savings plan, which customers can conveniently access and manage through the Bank Muscat app, giving them a smooth banking experience anytime, anywhere.

Urban October is one of the Sultanate’s leading national events in the fields of housing and urban planning, organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. Its sixth edition was held in Muscat this year, coinciding with the global celebration of World Habitat Day 2026 under the theme “Adequate Housing for All”, in cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). The programme covered adequate housing, fast-growing cities, cities for all and placemaking, in line with Oman Vision 2040.
