Their expertise covered maritime security, naval systems, unmanned platforms, robotics, sensors, advanced electronics, artificial intelligence, communications, cybersecurity, shipbuilding and other emerging technologies.
Addressing the seminar, Indian Ambassador His Excellency Prashant Pise described defence cooperation as a key pillar of the India-Oman Strategic Partnership, supported by a shared commitment to regional peace and stability.
He urged businesses to use existing bilateral institutional mechanisms and frameworks, particularly the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), to advance defence industrial collaboration.
On the sidelines of the event, Oman’s MSA Global LLC and India’s IG Defence signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on drone and counter-drone solutions. Multiple site visits were also organised in cooperation with Omani industry partners.
The seminar featured displays of capabilities, technologies and industry solutions, alongside the release of an Arabic edition of the publication “Indian Defence Industry – Going Global”.
A bilingual delegate profile booklet detailing the participating Indian companies and their products was also released.
The embassy said the event established links between Indian and Omani industry partners to support future co-development, co-production and technological collaboration.
