MUSCAT : The warning was issued by the General Federation of Oman Workers as part of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking’s Aman national awareness campaign.

The campaign highlights the legal consequences of attempting to prevent individuals from testifying or providing evidence to competent authorities in human trafficking cases.

Prohibited acts include pressuring or threatening witnesses to withhold testimony, encouraging them to give false statements, and presenting false evidence or misleading information to authorities investigating human trafficking crimes.

The campaign urges the public to understand their legal rights and responsibilities, emphasising that protecting witnesses and ensuring truthful evidence are important to addressing human trafficking offences.
