PRAGUE : The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), concluded today its participation in the Interpol Anti-Drug and Prohibited Substances Conference, which was held in the Czech Republic and lasted for three days.
The conference discussed ways to enhance international police cooperation and the exchange of information and expertise among law enforcement agencies in member states. It also addressed confronting transnational crime, including organized crime, terrorism, cybercrimes, human trafficking, narcotics, and financial crimes.
Furthermore, it discussed combating the illicit manufacturing of narcotic substances, alongside tracking supply chains and suspicious shipments, and tightening control over transport routes and intermediaries.

The conference focused on enhancing border security and dismantling criminal networks by linking financial, logistical, and criminal data, and tracking money laundering methods, in addition to employing artificial intelligence.
