MUSCAT: Oman police have arrested an Asian national accused of using social media to promote and traffic drugs and psychotropic substances, and laundering proceeds from the drug trade, the Royal Oman Police said.
The arrest was carried out by the Directorate of Drug and Psychotropic Substances under the Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command, according to a police statement.
Police did not disclose the suspect’s identity or specify the types or quantities of substances involved.

The Royal Oman Police urged the public to report social media accounts used to promote drugs and psychotropic substances, saying public cooperation was necessary to protect community safety.
