MUSCAT : The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said the vessel, identified by IMO number 9893204, was carrying 19 crew members, 17 of whom were Indian nationals. The injured crew members were evacuated with the assistance of Omani authorities and are receiving medical treatment in Khasab, Oman. India thanked the Omani authorities for their support.

In a statement issued in New Delhi on October 6, the ministry said the continuing attacks on shipping in the region remain a matter of deep concern and called for an immediate cessation of such attacks in the interests of regional peace and stability.
