Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has received a new batch of male and female citizens holding bachelor’s degrees to begin military training and academic qualification at the Police College of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences.
The intake was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Labour after the candidates successfully completed the required stages of admission, evaluation, testing, as well as medical and physical examinations.
The new recruits will undergo specialised training aimed at preparing them to serve across various police formations and carry out security duties and policing tasks with professionalism and competence.

The Royal Oman Police said it is continuing to utilise its training and educational capabilities to provide an ideal environment for developing qualified officers in line with the latest curricula adopted at the Police College.
The academic programme includes legal and police sciences, preparation of research studies, and scientific and professional qualification designed to keep pace with contemporary developments and anticipate future requirements in police work.
The latest batch includes graduates from a wide range of disciplines that support the operational and technical needs of the police sector.
These include renewable energy engineering, criminology, biology, physics, chemistry, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, automation, software engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, operations management, media and digital design.
