MUSCAT : The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold elections for its board of directors and the boards of its governorate branches on November 23, 2026, its elections committee announced.

The vote will determine the boards for the 2026–2030 term. Further dates, procedures and details governing the electoral process will be announced through official channels, the committee said.

Ahead of the elections, the committee urged members to review and update their commercial records through the approved electronic systems of the relevant authorities by October 14.

The announcement applies to private-sector companies and establishments across all membership grades registered with the Chamber before the notice was published.

To be eligible to vote, members must have paid their annual Chamber membership fee and must either employ at least one Omani worker or hold an Entrepreneurship Card issued by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority.

The requirements are set out under Article 39 of the Chamber’s governing framework, issued under Royal Decree No. 56/2022, the committee said.

A member’s authorised representative must be recorded in the Commercial Register as the owner, a partner authorised to sign individually, or a manager authorised to sign individually.

The committee urged members to fulfil the requirements and ensure their records are accurate and up to date by the deadline to avoid obstacles to voting on polling day.
