MUSCAT: There was little respite from the heat across parts of Oman as temperatures surged to 45.1°C, with several areas continuing to experience unusually high readings in late September.
Al Sunainah and Hamra Al Drooa were the hottest locations in the country over the past 24 hours, both recording 45.1°C, according to data from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Fahud was close behind at 44.6°C, while Ibri recorded 44.2°C and Al Buraimi reached 44.0°C.

The intense heat extended across several other areas, with Muqshin recording 43.3°C, Bahla 43.2°C and Nizwa 43.0°C.
Temperatures reached 42.8°C in Izki, 42.6°C in Dima Wa’ttayeen and 42.4°C in Um Al Zamaim.
