MUSCAT : Oman’s Police Coast Guard has apprehended 23 people aboard a boat while they were attempting to enter the country illegally, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
The operation was carried out by the Police Coast Guard Unit in South Al Batinah Governorate in the Wilayat of Barka.
According to the ROP, the 23 people were Asian nationals and were intercepted while attempting to enter Oman by sea through illegal means.

Legal procedures are being completed against those apprehended, the police said.
