MUSCAT: Judicial officers from the Control Department at the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in North Al Batinah carried out the seizure.
Legal procedures are now being taken against those responsible in accordance with established regulations.
The Directorate General stressed the need for compliance with Oman’s rules and decisions governing the fishing, handling, transportation and marketing of fish.
It said adherence to these regulations is important for protecting fish resources and supporting the sustainability of the Sultanate’s fish stocks.
