MUSCAT: His Excellency Al Maawali said the project has already been awarded to a contractor, who received the official notice to commence work about two weeks ago.
The minister said preparations were also being made to address potential traffic congestion during the construction period. A traffic management plan is expected to be submitted to the Cabinet for consideration.
His Excellency Al Maawali added that authorities are conducting a study into traffic congestion and working hours. The review could lead to adjustments in working schedules at some institutions as part of measures to ease pressure on Muscat’s roads.
