Kathmandu: According to Nepal’s National Seismological Research Centre, the first earthquake, measuring magnitude 4.5, struck at 1:51 a.m. local time, with its epicentre located around Kalai in Mugu district.
A second tremor measuring magnitude 4.2 was recorded at 4:28 a.m., with its epicentre also around Kalai.
The tremors were also felt in neighbouring Dolpa and Jumla districts. Authorities said there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the earthquakes.
