Oman Labour Ministry flags 856 non-compliant companies after 3,792 inspections

Ministry of Labour identified 856 non-compliant establishments during 3,792 field inspection visits carried out across the Sultanate’s governorates in the first half of 2026.

MUSCAT: The ministry published its report, detailing the distribution of inspection visits and compliance indicators recorded by its directorates and departments across Oman from January to June.
North Al Sharqiyah recorded the highest number of establishments classified as compliant, with 685, while 248 establishments were found to be non-compliant. Dhofar followed with 393 compliant and 95 non-compliant establishments, while South Al Batinah recorded 363 compliant and 82 non-compliant establishments.
The inspection campaign covered labour directorates and departments across the country, with authorities assessing private-sector establishments against applicable compliance indicators and documenting cases of compliance and non-compliance.
The Directorate General of Labour Welfare recorded 257 compliant establishments and 170 non-compliant establishments. In Al Wusta, the Labour Department in the Wilayat of Duqm recorded 60 compliant and seven non-compliant establishments, while the department in Al Wusta Governorate recorded 117 compliant and 14 non-compliant establishments.
In Musandam, the Directorate General of Labour recorded 112 compliant and 21 non-compliant establishments, while the Labour Department in the Wilayat of Dibba recorded 85 compliant and two non-compliant establishments.
North Al Batinah recorded 112 compliant and 45 non-compliant establishments, while Al Buraimi recorded 99 compliant and four non-compliant establishments. Al Dakhiliyah recorded 212 compliant and 148 non-compliant establishments, while Al Dhahirah recorded 121 compliant and 10 non-compliant establishments.
South Al Sharqiyah recorded 320 compliant establishments and 10 non-compliant establishments.
