MUSCAT : Officials said the footage dates back to a separate incident that occurred in another governorate and was addressed by the relevant authorities at the time.
The clarification comes amid the circulation of the video online alongside claims linking it to the present oil pollution situation in Ras Madrakah.
Authorities have urged members of the public to rely on official and credible sources for information and to refrain from sharing unverified reports, rumours or misleading content.
