MUSCAT : The Center said it is continuing field inspections, investigations and monitoring activities to determine whether fishing areas have been affected and to verify the safety and quality of seafood products.
As part of the precautionary measures, authorities are closely monitoring fish landing sites, processing factories and fish markets, while also tracking landing operations and the sources of catches.
Fish samples are being collected from relevant locations and subjected to laboratory testing to ensure they meet required safety standards.

The Center has also formed specialised technical teams to monitor coastlines and fish landing sites across governorates located along the Arabian Sea.
