MUSCAT: The ministry said the changes apply to the recruitment announcement issued on July 30, 2026, for a number of vacant positions within the Supreme Judicial Council.
Under the revised general conditions, applicants must not have resigned from any civil, military or security unit of the State Administrative Apparatus, public legal entity, or government-owned company in which the government holds a 40 percent or higher stake, unless at least one year has passed since the date of their resignation.
The ministry also expanded the academic qualifications required for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor (male/female). Previously, applicants were required to hold a bachelor’s degree in Sharia or Law. Following the amendment, candidates with bachelor’s degrees in Sharia, Law, or Rights/Jurisprudence are also eligible to apply.

The vacancy, listed under Job No. 208260231, is for positions at Public Prosecution directorates and departments across various governorates of the Sultanate.
The Ministry of Labour advised citizens wishing to compete for the advertised positions to ensure they meet the revised conditions when registering through the SMS service, the ministry’s website, or the Maak application.
The ministry added that August 20, 2026, is the final date for submitting applications.
