MUSCAT : The achievement enhances the quality of specialised care offered to cancer patients in accordance with the best global standards.
QUATRO audits constitute an international programme for reviewing the quality and safety of radiotherapy services. It is developed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and international partners.
The completion of this assessment affirms the University Medical City’s commitment to develop cancer treatment services and adopt international standards in line with its role in promoting integration among healthcare, medical education research and innovation.


The University Medical City is the first institution in the Sultanate of Oman to complete QUATRO international assessment, which enhances the readiness of radiotherapy services, supports the process of institutional excellence and provides confidence in the quality of healthcare to cancer patients.
