MUSCAT: The ministry raised the issue through its official labour podcast, asking the public what mechanism they would like to see introduced to ensure the rights of both recruitment parties are protected during the guarantee period.
A video clip accompanying the ministry’s post discusses the possibility of insuring the guarantee amount, potentially involving an insurance company as a third party.
The ministry’s representative emphasised the need for a mechanism that protects both sides, noting that the aim is not to cause harm to either the employer or the recruitment office.
“There will also be a guarantee for this amount. It will be insurance for this amount,” the representative said, explaining that an insurance company could serve as an additional party in the arrangement.
The ministry has invited members of the public to share their views on the mechanism they would like to see available to protect the rights of both sides during the guarantee period.
