MUSCAT – The Ministry said the sale or promotion of products without the required licences poses risks to consumer safety and may expose sellers and advertisers to legal accountability under Oman’s regulations.
The warning applies to a range of products, including medicines, pharmaceutical substances, medical preparations and herbal medicines.
According to the Ministry, unlicensed products may be adulterated, counterfeit or expired, increasing the potential health risks for consumers.
The Ministry urged businesses, online sellers and social media users to verify that products have obtained the necessary licences before advertising or offering them for sale.
It said compliance with licensing requirements is essential to protecting consumers, maintaining confidence in Oman’s marketplace and avoiding legal violations.
