MUSCAT : During the call, the two ministers touched upon several areas of bilateral cooperation and the development of the existing strategic economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, particularly in the fields of energy, transport, supply chains, and related industries, in a manner that enhances mutual interests and pushes the existing partnership toward broader horizons.
The two sides exchanged views on current regional and international developments, foremost of which are the diplomatic efforts exerted regarding the resumption of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. They emphasised the importance of adopting practical approaches to ensure the security and freedom of navigation for all without interruption, and safeguarding the regular movement of trade and energy tankers, in accordance with the rules of international law and in a way that enhances opportunities for positive cooperation, peaceful coexistence, and good neighbourliness among all gulf littoral states.
