New Delhi: The exercise is part of a comprehensive effort to ensure the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of one of the country’s largest entrance examinations.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is responsible for conducting the medical entrance test, has also enhanced security measures at its headquarters in New Delhi. Officials said the mock drill was carried out at examination centres across the country to assess preparedness and strengthen coordination among various agencies involved in the process.
The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination will be held on June 21 from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm in pen-and-paper mode. More than 22.79 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the examination, which will be conducted across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

Authorities have implemented extensive administrative and security arrangements to ensure the examination is conducted without disruption. Officials said the mock drill was aimed at testing operational readiness, verifying security protocols and ensuring seamless coordination between examination staff, local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
