MUSCAT – The Omani pavilion at the exhibition will include participation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), and the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, in addition to eight Omani factories specialising in fish processing and packaging under a strategic partnership framework.
His Excellency Eng. Yaqoub bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Fisheries and Head of the Omani delegation, said Oman’s participation in the exhibition is of strategic importance as it is one of the leading global platforms for the fisheries sector, bringing together experts, companies and investors from around the world.
His Excellency stressed that the participation enhances the Sultanate of Oman’s presence in global markets and promotes its high-quality marine products.

His Excellency added that the participation reflects the ministry’s efforts, in cooperation with relevant authorities, to expand export opportunities, attract quality investments in the fisheries sector, and keep pace with the latest developments in fishing, processing and marketing technologies. He noted that these efforts contribute to sector development, strengthen competitiveness in line with international standards, and increase its contribution to GDP in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global is considered one of the world’s largest seafood industry exhibitions, bringing together participants from more than 80 countries and 62 national and regional pavilions.
This year’s edition will also feature a dedicated platform for startups and innovators in aquaculture, showcasing solutions in marine technology, animal health and sustainable feed systems.
