MUSCAT : His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Oman’s Minister of Health, received His Excellency Aleksandr Khodzhayev, Minister of Health of Belarus, for a bilateral meeting to discuss areas of common interest and ways to enhance collaboration. The signing builds on a memorandum of understanding inked during the Sultanate’s officials’ visit to Belarus last year.

The roadmap outlines general guidelines for legal frameworks, medical care regulation, medical education, and pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. His Excellency Dr. Al Sabti stated that international cooperation is a key pillar for Oman to benefit from global expertise, particularly in areas such as cancer treatments, heart and organ transplantation, and pharmaceutical development. He also noted Belarus’ interest in learning from Oman’s healthcare experiences and systems.
During his visit, Belarusian Minister toured Oman’s National Center for Virtual Health, Sultan Qaboos Integrated Center for Cancer Treatment and Research, and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, receiving briefings on their departments, advanced facilities, diagnostic and treatment equipment, and specialized services for patients and researchers.
His Excellency Dr. Al Sabti said the collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both countries, implement best practices, and promote knowledge exchange to advance healthcare delivery and medical innovation in Oman and Belarus.
