MUSCAT : A senior Omani official has conducted field visits to a number of active shelter centres to assess the conditions of displaced families and review the progress of relief efforts, authorities said on Saturday.
His Excellency Sheikh Rashid Al Shamsi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Development for Family Affairs and Community Development and Head of the Relief and Shelter Sector, toured several accommodation facilities set up in response to the recent weather situation.
During the visits, he reviewed the living conditions of families housed at the centres and inspected the services being provided, including basic amenities and support systems. The official also met with teams overseeing shelter operations to evaluate workflow and coordination.
